It is on the site of the church of Sainte-Catherine de la Touvière, demolished at the end of the 18th century, that is built in 1826 a bathing establishment using the water of the source Cachat. It is modified several times to adapt it to the increasing number of patients and the evolution of care. In 1905, the Mineral Water Company replaced him with this refreshment bar, a mecca for the resort’s social events. Designed by the architect Albert Hébrard, it is a masterpiece of Art Nouveau all in curves and counter-curves, whose monumental entrance overlooks National Street. The framework of the large hall, openwork with stained glass windows with floral motifs and covered in glazed tiles, is listed as a historic monument. It houses a graceful statue of the sculptor Charles Beylard, «Apotheosis of the source Cachat» of which a recent copy is in front of the source.
